The City of Medford conducts street sweeping in two ways
1. Main Roads (also called “main drags”). Main streets and major roadways are swept twice per week beginning on April 1 each year. (See schedule and information below)
2. Public side streets and secondary roads. Secondary/side streets are swept twice per year, once in the spring (typically in May) and once in the fall (typically in November).
As a reminder, STREET PARKING IS RESTRICTED on the day your street is assigned to be swept.
Beginning on Tuesday, April, 19, 2022, and continuing for approximately 3 weeks, the Medford DPW will conduct street sweeping on all secondary roads in the city. Street sweeping will be conducted Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Street sweeping is divided into 14 zones with one zone conducted each day. As a reminder, street parking is restricted on the day your street is assigned to be swept. Cars parked on the street on the assigned day may be subject to ticketing or towing.
In the event of heavy rain or severe weather, sweeping may be cancelled on a particular day, and would be rescheduled for the end of the regular schedule.
Please DO NOT push leaves into the street as this can cause catch basins to get clogged causing issues. All yard waste removal MUST be done through Waste Management.
