North Suburban Consortium Consolidated Plan Survey

The City of Medford is part of the North Suburban Consortium (“Consortium”) which includes the communities of Arlington, Chelsea, Everett, Malden, Medford, Melrose, Revere, and Winthrop.  The Consortium receives a grant allocation each year from HUD to invest in housing and community development programs, which provide assistance to low- and moderate-income residents with incomes are at or below 80% of the area median income. This includes funding through the HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME) and the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). 

Every five years, the Consortium develops a Consolidated Plan to identify the housing and community development needs for people living in the Consortium and outlines the goals for using its federal funds.  We currently are in the final year of our most recent Consolidated Plan (download a copy here) and the next plan will cover fiscal years 2026-2030.
