Medford Housing Production Plan

After a robust public process, the Community Development Board approved the Housing Production Plan (HPP) on May 10, 2021 and the City Council approved the HPP on September 27, 2022. The Plan was submitted to the Massachusetts Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities (EOHLC) for final approval. EOHLC made the finding that the HPP is valid until January 11, 2028.

The HPP is a state-recognized planning tool that examines Medford's housing needs and outlines specific strategies to create a mix of housing types for different income levels. It will also serve as a roadmap to achieving the goal of having a minimum of 10 percent year-round housing stock that is affordable
