Traffic Disruption Notice for Run Medford Event Weekend

The Medford Police Department and Run Medford Race Officials have released a list of road closures and streets impacted during the Run Medford Race Event on Saturday, September 27. The police are planning to reopen roads on a rolling basis, meaning that as the last runners pass, roads will begin to reopen.  

The closures are expected to take place between 7:30 AM and 10:00 AM. 

STREETS IMPACTED: 

CITY HALL MALL 

Closed- no parking both sides 

Atrius Health Parking Garage- no access 

SALEM STREET 

Closed at Rotary 

Closed curb-curb through Medford Square – Winthrop Rotary 

No parking both sides 

Barricades at Oakland and Ashland 

All local traffic between Salem St and Water St will go to Salem St 

WEBSTER STREET 

Closure at Brookside Parkway [no access to Forest St] 

MAIN STREET 

Closure at Route 16 

Secondary barricade at Clippership Drive 

HIGH STREET 

Closed westbound to Playstead Ave. 

CENTURY STREET 

Closed – no parking both sides 

WINTHROP STREET 

Closed southbound to Lawrence Rd.   

LAWRENCE ROAD 

Closed eastbound to Forest 

No parking in eastbound lane 

GOVERNORS AVE 

Closed- no parking both sides 

RIVERSIDE AVE 

Closed- no parking both sides 

FOREST STREET 

Closed from Lawrence Rd. to High St. 

Jerry’s Run for all Ages 5K Race, named after Jerry Panarese, who was a member of the New England 65+ Runners Club is back for a second year. Jerry was the director of the Run of All Ages for 25 years. In addition to the 5K, the event will also feature races for all ages, including a kids’ fun run, 5-mile race, high school mile, VIP/Celebrity mile, and more.
