Registration Now Open for Annual Run Medford Road Race on September 25 & 26

Registration is now open for the annual Run Medford Road Race on September 25 and 26 hosted by the City of Medford and the Dave McGillivray Finish Strong Foundation (DMFSF), Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn announced. The events will be held at the Hormel Stadium track on Friday, September 25 and at City Hall on Saturday, September 26.

Run Medford features Jerry’s Run for all Ages 5K Race and 10K, named after Jerry Panarese, who was a member of the New England 65+ Runners Club. Jerry was the director of the Run of All Ages for 25 years. In addition to Jerry’s Run, the event includes a kids’ fun run, high school mile, celebrity mile, para mile, and more. As part of the effort to give back to the community, donations will be made to every Medford Public School Parent Teacher Organization.

“Now in its fifth year, our annual Run Medford event continues to grow and attract runners and families from all over,” said Mayor Lungo-Koehn. “The success of this event is a huge credit to our community and local partners that show up year after year. We are looking forward to another great weekend of physical activity and fun.”

“The Finish Strong Foundation is thrilled to be partnering with the City of Medford once again to give back to the place where my running journey began,” said Dave McGillivray, President and Founder of DMSE Sports, Inc. This is looking like our best year yet – with some exciting new updates like the 10K!”

He then founded the Dave McGillivray Running and Sports Center in Medford, and soon transitioned to his event management business, Dave McGillivray Sports Enterprises.

The Foundation inspires and empowers youth across New England and beyond to increase physical activity, expand literacy and build community and self-esteem through running, reading, and performing acts of kindness.
