Medford Community Development Board Seeks New Members
The City of Medford is looking to fill vacancies on the Community Development Board with community members from the Wellington, Glenwood, East Medford and Heights neighborhoods, preferably that have a planning, architecture, design, or legal background, Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn announced. These areas of expertise and areas of the city are currently underrepresented on the board.
The Board’s responsibilities include administration of the Subdivision Control Law, conducting site plan review for major projects, reviewing and recommending changes to the Zoning Ordinance, as well as discussing and implementing proposed zoning changes, and general planning to guide growth and development in a coordinated and comprehensive manner.
Board members receive a $900 yearly stipend, and meetings are generally held at 6:30 p.m. on the first and third Wednesday of every month. Residents of all backgrounds and abilities are strongly encouraged to apply. Medford city services are available to all residents, regardless of economic situation, race, gender, ability, benefit eligibility, or religious affiliation.
