PROGRAM YEAR 2026 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN

PUBLIC HEARING

A Public Hearing will be held by the Medford City Council on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. Details will be posted by the City Clerk’s Office prior to the hearing. The purpose of this Public Hearing will be to invite the general public and representatives of public service agencies to express comments regarding the City’s Community Development Block Grant Annual Action Plan, and on the City’s housing and community development needs and development of proposed activities. The Annual Action Plan contains the proposed use of CDBG funds for the Program Year 2026 which extends from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027, and copies can be obtained in Medford City Hall, Room 308, 85 George P. Hassett Dr. or may be downloaded from the City's website at www.medfordma.org/cdbg.

The Office of Planning, Development and Sustainability will be requesting that the Medford City Council authorize Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn, official representative of the City of Medford, to submit the Program Year 2026 Annual Action Plan, application for funds, and all other assurances and certifications to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The City is applying for an estimated $1,433,520 in Block Grant funds for Program Year 2026.
