City Names Members to ‘Keep Medford Beautiful’ Steering Committee

The City has named members to the Keep Medford Beautiful (KMB) Steering Committee, a chapter of Keep Massachusetts Beautiful, Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn announced. Keep Medford Beautiful is a community effort to organize local volunteers interested in cleaning up and beautifying Medford’s public spaces.

This initiative is led by a steering committee of residents that work to establish and support cleanups and beautification projects across the city:  

• Alison Beucler, Chair 
• Chuck Bartlett, Vice Chair 
• Lisa Colaianni, Mayor’s Office 
• Michele Mahoney 
• Peter Mellor 
• Alberta Wakefield 

“If you can’t make it to our big Citywide Cleanup on May 2, there are opportunities to get involved in smaller cleanups with Keep Medford Beautiful,” said Mayor Lungo-Koehn. “We are so excited to get more cleanup efforts underway, so please sign up for our email list to be alerted for future dates and join our Facebook group.” 

The mission of the chapter is to instill accountability through action and foster social responsibility by urging residents not to litter and to pick up litter when they see it. This is a volunteer-led organization that works alongside the Department of Public Works and the Mayor's Office.
