The City of Medford is excited to present the 2017 Summer Recreation Program! Below you will find information on Wright’s Pond and Tufts Pool, how to register for one of our many sports clinics and hands-on programs, the locations and times of our popular Park’s Program, and other summer resources.
Spend your day swimming, picnicking, and resting in the sand at Wright’s Pond, located on Elm Street in North Medford. To access Wright’s Pond, visitors must be a Medford resident and obtain a season pass. Walk-in passes as well as vehicle passes are available to purchase online, by mail, or at Medford City Hall. Cool off at Tufts Pool, located at 449 Main St. in Medford. The pool includes both a deep-water facility as well as a wading pool. Pool passes can now be purchased online, by mail, or at Medford City Hall. Passes will no longer be sold at Tufts Pool. For more information and to purchase passes, click HERE.
City of Medford Summer Parks Program
The free Parks Program gives youth ages 5-16 an opportunity to get out and move, play, and create during the summer months. Daily activities include sports, games, physical activities, arts and crafts, and more. Throughout the summer, the program will take place at one park each week and will rotate through six different parks. All activities happen Monday-Friday, 9am-1pm. Summer Programs and Workshops
There are many different city-run programs to choose from this summer including sports clinics such as basketball, flag football, soccer, softball, parkour and more; and hands-on programs such as computing, filmmaking, and lego workshops. Medford High School Pool
During certain hours throughout the summer, the Medford High School Pool is open to the public for families, adults, and seniors. The pool is located at 489 Winthrop St. Learn more about the pool, hours, and how to purchase a pass HERE.
