Welcome to Medford, Massachusetts!

Recreation Programs

There are many opportunities for playing and learning this summer through any one of the City of Medford’s recreation programs. Programs consist of athletic clinics as well as hands-on workshops. Below you will find some frequently asked questions including how to register for programs. If you have any other questions, please call 781-393-2486.

How do I know what programs are being offered?

All programs can be found in the 2017 Recreation Guide found below, or on our online registration service, Rec1.

Please register for classes at least 3 days before the class is scheduled to begin.

Will a class be canceled if not enough students enroll, and how will I find out?

If an activity doesn’t meet minimum enrollment, the program will be cancelled. You will receive an email within 3 days of the close of registration. Registration period ends 3 days prior to the start of the class.

How do I register for more than one participant online?

When you sign up your family, you will be prompted to add members to your account. You will add all of your family members who will or would want to participate in the summer program. When you click register for an activity, you click on one or more of your family members who would like to attend, then you continue. This feature allows you to register and to add to your check out cart.
