Veterans are Needed!
City of Medford’s Veterans Advisory Committee
Women, Persons of Color and Disabled Veterans are encouraged to apply to complement our outreach and service to area Veterans. Currently the City is looking to fill several openings to serve on the Veterans Advisory Committee, particularly to reflect the diversity of our Veterans community. If you are a resident of Medford, and a Veteran with an interest in helping the City better serve its population of Veterans, please consider applying.
Committee Members need to be available for monthly meetings, additional supportive work between meetings, and occasional event participation. The Veterans Advisory Committee is authorized by M.G.L. c. 115 sec. 12 to render assistance to the Director of Veteran’s Service to the City. The Advisory Committee meets monthly on third Wednesday of the month, usually at the VFW Post at 114 Mystic Avenue.
If you would like to contribute to the City in a positive way as an advisor to the Veterans Department, please send a letter of interest and resume to Linda Coletti, Secretary in Mayor’s Office Room 204 City Hall, LColetti@medford-ma.gov by February 9, 2018 for consideration.
