The final event of the ‘Know Your City’ series on Wednesday, May 24 from 6-7pm will be a Department Head info session with Barbara Kerr, Director of the Medford Public Library, and Pam Kelly, Director of Elder Affairs at Council on Aging and the Medford Senior Center.
In this interactive session, Pam Kelly will update attendees on the many programs, trips, social services, nutrition programs, and more that are offered at the Senior Center. She will explore the concept that ‘getting older doesn’t mean what it used to’ and distribute monthly newsletters about Senior Center programs.
Barbara Kerr of the Medford Public Library along with Sam Sednek, the Children’s Librarian, will update the participants on new programs being offered at the library, exciting future plans, and the evolving concept that libraries are far more than book-lenders and have become a hub of community activity.
The info session will take place at City Hall in the Alden Chambers. For more information, contact the Mayor’s Office at 781-393-2408.
