Mayor Burke has identified boards and commissions in the City of Medford that currently have vacancies as of January 2017.
The following boards and commissions currently have vacancies:
Energy and Environment Committee (3 vacancies)
Persons with the following interests are encouraged to apply:
– Interested in reducing waste: recycling, composting, or banning plastic bags
– Interested or knowledgeable in climate change or adaptation
– Interested in sustainability and has experience in outreach, marketing or communications
– 1 vacancy & 1 associate member
Community Development Board (1 vacancy)
– Persons specialized in architectural/city planning and/or civil engineering expertise
Board of Appeals
– 1 vacancy
The Civic Auditorium and Convention Center Commission
– 1 vacancy
Disabilities Commission 4 vacancies
– Persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
Human Rights Commission
– 4 vacancies

The City of Medford will be hosting an informational session for residents to engage with members of boards and commissions and learn more on Wednesday, February 15 from 6 – 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers.
Community Preservation Committee Seeking Members
The Community Preservation Committee is also seeking members based on the CPA that was adopted by a ballot approved by Medford voters November 3, 2015. Per the ordinance, the Committee is seeking four members, appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council. No appointees can be employees or elected officials of the City.
