Have an idea for a cultural program or event in Medford? The Medford Arts Council has grant money to help make it happen!
The Medford Arts Council is seeking applications for grant funds to be used for projects taking place in 2017. Applications will be accepted from September 1 through October 17. A new online application system managed by the Massachusetts Cultural Council will make it easier for everyone to apply. For more information visit the Medford Arts Council website.
The Medford Arts Council offers reimbursement grants to individuals and organizations throughout the region seeking to engage the Medford public. Each year they fund public activities in the areas of the humanities, arts, and interpretive sciences, including concerts, exhibits, public art, festivals, performances, classes, and school field trips.
This year, they have introduced four new local priorities to attract proposals in particular areas. They will continue to fund proposals in a wide range of disciplines but are especially interested in ideas pertaining to:
- Public art
- Projects to enhance the public experience in our neighborhood squares
- Partnerships and collaborations of many kinds—cross-sector, multidisciplinary, public-privates, etc.
- The humanities and interpretive sciences.
