The City of Medford will be partnering with the Mystic River Watershed Association to assess the best sites and create designs for storm water treatment systems that will work to stop roadway pollution of the Mystic River. This project will include meetings to determine roles, mapping of potential sites, field assessments of the current state of the watershed, and the design process for the treatment systems.
Mayor Stephanie M. Burke signed the grant for the project on January 14, 2016.
“This project is an example of great partnership within the city and the focus on sustainability around the Mystic River,” Mayor Burke said. “We are so fortunate to have the opportunity to enhance the accessibility for the community to the entire Mystic River area.”
