The City of Medford and the Medford Chamber of Commerce are pleased to announce the availability of this year’s Green Awards Application. In response to resident and business feedback, this year’s application has been significantly redesigned. This year’s Green Awards Committee will consider a broader array of environmental impacts and is no longer limited to building efficiency. In recognition that the word “green” implies different things to different people, there are now examples on the application of environmental practices that a business or resident might do to be considered for awards. The application now also lists criteria that the Medford Energy Committee and Chamber of Commerce will use to evaluate the applications.
The addition of criteria and categories are intended to encourage more residents and businesses to apply, as there are a large range of practices that make an entity eligible for a Medford Green Award. We are simply looking for businesses and residents that do good things for our environment that the City can highlight and recognize.
The application asks for contact information and a paragraph or two about what the nominated resident or business has done to improve the environment. We do ask that you provide measurable benefits, if possible. Please be creative too!
All residents, businesses, organizations and schools within Medford are eligible to be nominated.
This year the form is a printable file that can be filled out by hand and mailed to the Office of Energy & Environment or completed online and returned via email.
