Mayor Michael J. McGlynn spoke with Lieutenant Governor Karyn Polito on Thursday requesting her assistance in acquiring additional heavy equipment for snow removal. She assured Mayor McGlynn that Medford would have additional equipment before the end of the weekend.
As shown from the picture above, equipment and personnel have arrived and will be working in Medford for the next 48 hours. Medford has received 3 Bobcats, 2 front end loaders, 4 dump trucks, & personnel to assist with snow removal.
“I am grateful for the speedy response from the Baker/Polito Administration,” said Mayor McGlynn. “The equipment and personnel have already begun to widen streets throughout the City and in addition will go into the business districts so consumers will have access to local businesses throughout our community.”
