February 23, 2015 Update
The snow emergency and parking ban were lifted at noon.
Please be advised that a Snow Emergency remains in effect as of Saturday, February 14 until further notice.
Snow Emergency parking enforcement will increase during this time period as a result of the weather forecast. While the Snow Emergency is in effect, the Winter Parking Restrictions will be enforced.
No parking is allowed on either side of any street that is designated as an emergency artery (see list below).
During the snow emergency, the odd-even winter parking restrictions shall be in effect on all side streets, 24 hours a day, until the snow emergency is lifted. This winter, parking will be allowed on the even side only unless otherwise restricted. Vehicles parked in violation shall be ticketed and towed. We need everyone’s cooperation in order to keep our roads open and accessible.
The following streets are designated as emergency arteries and parking is not allowed during a snow emergency:
Boston Avenue, Central Avenue, College Avenue from George Street to Boston Avenue, Forest Street, Fulton Street, George Street, Governors Avenue, Grove Street, Hancock Street, Harvard Avenue, Harvard Street, High Street, Lawrence Road, Main Street, Medford Street, Mystic Avenue from Main Street to Crescent Street, Playstead Road, Riverside Avenue, Salem Street, Spring Street, Washington Street, Webster Street, Willis Avenue, Winthrop Street and Woburn.
Due to the Monday holiday, trash pick-up is pushed back by one day this week. If it is pushed back further due to the weather it will be posted and residents will be notified.
