The Department of Public Works has acquired four new employees and several pieces of equipment. The city continues to make a commitment to the DPW to ensure the delivery of important services throughout the community.

The new pieces of equipment will serve the city for maintenance, emergencies, and weather-related clean up. The Highway Division has acquired a street sweeper, pickup truck, dump truck, and front end loader. The Water and Sewer Division has two new utility trucks, a pickup truck, a box truck, a jet truck, and a backhoe.
The construction of the new City Yard is on time and on budget. The land has been cleared and a new fueling station has been established. The construction of the yard will begin soon. The expected completion date is April 1, 2015.
