The State Secretary of Housing and Economic Development, Greg Bialecki, visited the City of Medford Tuesday, stopping first at the Criterion Development Partners groundbreaking on Mystic Valley Parkway, and later visiting 200 Rivers Edge Drive, where Mayor McGlynn announced that the last available space in the building was being taken by Management Sciences for Health.
Management Sciences for Health will take over the remaining 40,000 square feet available in the building. They are a non-profit that provides direction and assistance to third world countries in the area of health care management.
Secretary Bialecki was pleased to hear that this building at Rivers Edge now housed 500 employees.

After the press conference, the group visited Progenika, a company originally from Spain that moved from Kendall Square in Cambridge to Rivers Edge. This company, which types blood for transfusions differently than via blood type, started with three employees while in Cambridge but has expanded so much it was in need of the space that Rivers Edge offered.
