A snow emergency has been declared for the City of Medford beginning at midnight.
All posted snow Emergency Arteries must be clear of all motor vehicles. Those in violation will be ticketed and towed.
The following streets are designated as Emergency Arteries:
Boston Avenue, Central Avenue, College Avenue from George Street to Boston Avenue, Forest Street, Fulton Street, George Street, Governors Avenue, Grove Street, Hancock Street, Harvard Avenue, Harvard Street, High Street, Lawrence Road, Main Street, Medford Street, Mystic Avenue from Main Street to Crescent Street, Playstead Road, Riverside Avenue, Salem Street, Spring Street, Washington Street, Webster Street, Willis Avenue, Winthrop Street and Woburn Street.
During a declared snow emergency Odd/Even Parking regulations are in effect 24 hours a day. All vehicles on side streets must be parked on the even side of the street unless previously exempted by the Traffic Commission. We need to completely clear the streets for emergency vehicles to gain access.
Also,there will not be any trash collection Tuesday, March 19. Trash collection throughout the City will be delayed by one day just for this week. Trash pickup scheduled for Tuesday will now be collected on Wednesday, Wednesday’s pickup will now take place on Thursday, Thursday’s pickup will now occur on Friday, and Friday’s pickup will now take place on Saturday. This change is just for this week. The usual collection schedule will return next week.
